A wiser man than me once referred to Barbara Crampton as the "Dolly Parton" of the horror community, and it's easy to see why. Not only does everyone adore her, but she has given her heart and soul to the genre she loves. Known for the '80s classics, Re-Animator, Chopping Mall, and From Beyond, Barbara has had one hell of a comeback as of late. Starting with the fun and violent You're Next, the indie creeper We Are Still Here, and the wild time that is Sacrifice, we have seen some of the more creative endeavors she's embarked on in the latter part of her career.
Taking the lead in her new film, which she also produced, Jakob's Wife tells the tale of marital issues through the lens of vampirism. It is a dark and meaningful film with the perfect amount of sly humor that doesn't shy away from the intense blood and gore you hope to see when vampires are involved.
