If I was a groom to be and my buddies were throwing me a bachelor party, I would have plenty of worries that my soon-to-be wife was going to find out that it got out of control and the strippers were performing extracurricular activities on the party-goers. Which is why I wouldn’t need the extra concern that the stripper is in fact a homicidal killer, which is the plot to the film BACHELOR PARTY MASSACRE, a film produced by Brandon Baker. The man is no stranger to the genre either, as Baker has collaborated with Uwe Boll on BLOODRAYNE , which could mean could mean you view that as good news or bad news depending on your opinion of Boll.
The boys over at Fangoria scored a sit-down chat with Baker and the man had this to say about the upcoming film: “When I got married, I decided not to have a bachelor party, but instead make a movie about one—and that’s how BACHELOR PARTY MASSACRE got started,” Baker tells Fango. “To be brutally honest, we shot the film basically in one location up in the mountains in Running Springs, CA a few years ago, in less than a week for basically nothing. We worked our asses off but had fun at the same time, which I believe shows in the film. Everyone chipped in and many favors were pulled, but at the end of the day, we came away with a fun horror/comedy much like the ’80s genre films.
“Personally, I prefer fun, sexy horror-thrillers, not gore and torture, which seems to be the thing right now,” Baker continues. “I’d much rather see love scenes and nudity than violence; I’m more European-minded, I guess. But we do have a nice mix of sexiness, fun and horror in this film. I want to thank everyone who was involved in it, and I hope everyone enjoys watching it.”
