Some cliche somewhere said that 'a picture is worth a thousand words.' This has proven to be the case for me and especially when it comes to fan art. I have always sought out great fan art and have wanted to share it with as many people as possible. "Awesome Art We've Found Around The Net" is the outlet for that passion. In this column, I will showcase the kick-ass artwork of some great artists, with the hopes that these artists get the attention they deserve. That's the aim. If you have any questions or comments, or even suggestions of art or other great artists, feel free to contact me at any time at theodorebond@joblo.com.
Earlier this summer artist Danny Schlitz had an idea to create an Avengers Art Tribute. Danny wanted to create the tribute based on the '80s and '90s style comics, specifically 1986's Wolverine cover from The Uncanny X-Men #211. Danny created a frame including The Avengers plus their supporting characters around the portrait of the main character for each piece. Soon, Danny would gather nearly thirty artists to the cause to create their own portraits with the frame he designed. With assistance from Bella Grace to help organize the artists involved who all brought their A-game and created some amazing artwork. We now proudly bring you the spoils of their Awesome Art which is being called "Artists Assemble 3000." If you would like to see more of this tribute you can check out the official Twitter @assemble3k.
