Ubisoft is bringing out the big guns during today’s Ubisoft Forward presentation with a look at Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. In this first-person adventure game, players control an unnamed Na’vi trained to eliminate her people by the RDA. In addition to dropping an Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora trailer, Ubisoft says the game hits shelves on December 7, 2023.
The action-packed Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora trailer includes lots of exciting footage from the game and more details about the story. In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, a Na’vi is taken and raised by the RDA to commit unthinkable acts against her people. After the RDA evacuates Pandora, the Na’vi rediscovers the majesty of her home while learning valuable skills for an oncoming battle. When the RDA returns, the reconditioned Na’vi uses her new abilities to defend the paradise she once tried to destroy.
Like Ubisoft’s Far Cry game franchise, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora features first-person action emphasizing infiltration, combat, and impressive set pieces. Players dismantle RDA strongholds across the land throughout the adventure, hunt animals for sustenance, and commune with Eywa to unlock new abilities. The game features an exciting system that allows players to bond with an ikran, a flying creature found in the skies of Pandora. Thankfully, the sky isn’t the only place to make friends. Various mounts for land travel will make traversal across the lush paradise a breeze as the Na’vi work together to defend their rightful place.
Ubisoft states that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will include single-player and two-player co-op, designed to “maximize new-gen consoles.” Despite Ubisoft urging players to experience the game on current-gen platforms, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will also be available on last-gen systems. The list of venues includes the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and Amazon Luna.
What do you think about Ubisoft’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora trailer? Will you dive into the world of the Na’vi and hone your skills to defend utopia from the RDA? Will the game be a worthy addition to James Cameron‘s money-printing juggernaut of a film series? Feel free to let us know in the comments below.
