Atlanta Season 4 will bring Donald Glover‘s powerful FX series to an end. Meanwhile, fans can look forward to Season 3 arriving on FX on March 24.

“After a four-year absence, we’re graced with the return of Atlanta. Donald Glover and his team have shot the final two seasons of the series,” FX chairman John Landgraf said on Thursday. “The fourth and final season is slated to debut in the same manner in the fall. The new season is everything you’d expect from Atlanta – which is to say expect the unexpected. Sit back and enjoy the trip.”

The third season of Atlanta is set almost entirely in Europe and features Earn (Donald Glover), Alfred / Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield), and Van (Zazie Beetz) enjoying the bounty of a successful European tour. However, adjusting to life abroad comes with its share of challenges, and the group will have to navigate their lives as outsiders while also coping with the pressure of success.

Atlanta was renewed for a third season all the way back in 2018 but was delayed due to Donald Glover’s busy schedule. It was delayed once again when the pandemic shut down productions across the globe, but filming finally got underway this past summer. The third season was shot back-to-back with the fourth season, which means that we shouldn’t have to wait another three years for the final chapters. Atlanta has been a critical darling for FX, scoring over a dozen Emmy nominations for its second season alone.

What do you think about Atlanta Season 4 being the show’s final bow? Are you ready to say goodbye to Earn and the crew when the time comes?
