Assassination Nation Blu-ray coming this Christmas

I don't know about you, but once I heard writer-director Sam Levinson's black comedy thriller ASSASSINATION NATION (pre-order HERE) referred to as "MEAN GIRLS meets THE PURGE" I was sold. Or at the very least intrigued enough to add the film to my must-see list ASAP. That quote adorns the film's Blu-ray cover art (which you can check out below) and today we have all the info you'll need on the movie's home video release. The movie will be landing on Blu-ray and DVD this December via Universal and the Blu-ray release will boast special features such as deleted scenes and extended scenes, along with what is probably a pretty killer gag reel.

And for those of you out there that don't already know what the film is about, here's the official synopsis:

High school senior Lily and her three best friends live in a world of selfies, emojis, snaps, and sexts. But when their town of Salem is besieged by a massive data hack, resulting in half the citizens’ private info spewed into the public view, the community descends into anarchy. Lily is targeted after being falsely blamed for the hack—and bands together with her friends to survive a long, blood-soaked night.

Written and directed by Sam Levinson (ANOTHER HAPPY DAY), the black comedy stars Odessa Young, Suki Waterhouse (THE BAD BATCH), Hari Nef, Abra, Anika Noni Rose, Colman Domingo, Maude Apatow (FUNNY PEOPLE), Bill Skarsgård (STEPHEN KING'S IT), Joel McHale (COMMUNITY), and Bella Thorne (MTVSCREAM). ASSASSINATION NATION will be released on Blu-ray and DVD via Universal on December 18th.
