AMC is gradually revealing the cast of their supernatural fantasy horror drama NOS4A2, which is based on the novel of the same title by Joe Hill. The show stars Ashleigh Cummings and Zachary Quinto in the story of
Vic McQueen (Cummings), a young, working class artist who discovers she has a supernatural ability to track the seemingly immortal Charlie Manx (Quinto). Manx feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – a twisted Christmas Village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas day and unhappiness is against the law. Vic must strive to defeat Manx and rescue his victims – without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.
It was previously announced that co-stars will include Olafur Darri Olafsson as Bing Partridge, Virginia Kull as Linda McQueen, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Chris McQueen, and Jahkara Smith (a.k.a. YouTube personality Sailor J) as Maggie Leigh.
The latest news to come out is that Ashley Romans is taking on the recurring role of Tabitha Hutter, "a no nonsense detective who's tough yet caring. She is assigned to a difficult case and must use her intuition to suss out what she's not being told."
Since making her screen debut with the intriguing credit of playing "P. Grier" in a movie called SLAVE GIRLS ON THE MOON, Romans has been seen as Alvira on the television series I'm Dying Up Here and as Alex on Showtime's Shameless. She also played Harry Potter's pal Hermione Granger in a web series called Hermione Granger and the Quarter Life Crisis.
Executive produced by Hill, Lauren Corrao, and showrunner Jami O'Brien, NOS4A2 is produced by AMC Studios in association with Tornante Television.
Kari Skogland directed the first two episodes of the show, which is expected to premiere sometime in 2019. The first season consists of 10 one-hour episodes.
