Filmmaker Mickey Keating is having a good month. Not only did IFC Midnight pick up the distribution rights to his fourth feature (following RITUAL, POD, and DARLING) CARNAGE PARK earlier this week, but he has also just wrapped production on another film, PSYCHOPATHS.
Written and directed by Keating, PSYCHOPATHS
follows several serial killers over the course of a single night.
With the end of principal photography comes the announcement of several cast members. Taking on roles in this "sprawling, psychedelic ensemble piece" are Mark Kassen, Ivana Shein, James Landry Hébert, and a couple of modern scream queens: THE LAST EXORCISM's Ashley Bell (pictured below), who also stars in CARNAGE PARK, and Angela Trimbur (above), who you may know from THE FINAL GIRLS and Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN II.
Also in the cast are the previously announced Jeremy Gardner, Graham Skipper, Helen Rogers, Matt Mercer, Larry Fessenden, and Sam Zimmerman.
That's a very sold line-up of talent for what sounds to be an interesting project from a filmmaker who is quickly gaining prominence in the horror genre.
