Arrested Development miniseries and movie to begin shooting this summer

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

During an interview regarding his NBC sitcom UP ALL NIGHT, Will Arnett let loose a small snippet about the ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT film.

We’re about to start making the Arrested Development miniseries and then [move] right into the movie this summer.

Netflix will be airing the mini-series in 2013 with the film to be released sometime after. This is the first hard evidence that we have that the movie will actually be coming to fruition.

ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT aired for three season on Fox and a movie has been rumored since it went off the air in 2006. Since then, stars Arnett, Michael Cera, David Cross, and Jason Bateman have all had productive careers. No word on what the plot will be of either the mini-series or the film, but hopefully Ron Howard will return as narrator as well.
