Arnold Schwarzenegger offers updates for his Netflix documentary, Triplets, and more

Among the many stars we cover here at JoBlo, Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of our favorites to follow, and are thus super excited about the upcoming documentary about his life and all the other projects he has coming up. The man is a machine who lets little stand in his way of tackling new film projects or interacting with fans. Now, without further delay, we have some updates about several of Schwarzenegger’s projects currently in the works.

Courtesy of TheArnoldFans.com, we’ve learned that Schwarzenegger recently shared some cool updates at the Arnold Sports Festival, a three-day-long muscle, fitness, and sporting championship event. While addressing his fans, Schwarzenegger revealed that he’s working with Netflix on a three-part documentary, which could be considered a sequel to Pumping Iron.

“I’m working on a Documentary right now that Netflix is doing,” says Arnold. “It’s a three-parter about my bodybuilding life being the first part, then my show business career – that’s the second part and the political career is the third part. They are shooting that now and it will come out this year because this year is my 75th birthday.”

Schwarzenegger also spoke about his hectic schedule for F.U.B.A.R., the series based on True Lies.

“I have to leave to go to Toronto because that is where we are going to shoot our series F.U.B.A.R. for Netflix,” Arnold revealed. “We start shooting at the end of April so I thought since I am so close (here in Ohio), I go up there to check the hotels, the gyms, do the wardrobe fitting, makeup and stuff, and all those kinds of stuff that you normally have to do ahead of time. I’ll do that today so that’s why we are leaving here right after this we go up to Toronto, then we go back to Los Angeles after 6 hours of working up there.”

Schwarzenegger also divulged some details about the plot, saying, “It’s a tv series based on True Lies. I’m a secret agent, but my family doesn’t know that I am a secret agent. As the story develops, I don’t know that my own daughter, that I thought is a peace core worker overseas, is also actually a secret agent. So, it’s kind of comedy and action all combined like True Lies.”

Last but not least, Schwarzenegger confirmed that the Triplets project will experience a slight delay after the untimely passing of Ivan Reitman.

“We had a little setback because the man that was supposed to direct it, who directed the first one, Ivan Reitman, had passed away. We’re going to wait a little bit until this whole thing cools down, and then we’re going to readdress it. But that’s a project that’s supposed to film in October, but we just have to now look into a different director, and see if we are going to continue with this project.”

There you have it, folks. Arnold Schwarzenegger is hard at work on several projects, such as that documentary, and it’s only a matter of time until they’re unleashed on his adoring fans. I’ve been a fan of Arnold’s for as long as I can recall, and I’m pleased to see that he’ll be celebrating his 75th later this year in style. Let us know if you’re looking forward to any of these projects in the comments section below.
