Paramount Pictures is offering a unique opportunity for folks in select cities who are just dying to see WORLD WAR Z. The studio, along with Regal Entertainment, is bringing the film in RealD 3D to audiences in five cities across the U.S. ahead of its worldwide theatrical release with a first-ever exclusive World War Z Mega Ticket movie package. The movie opens on June 21st, while this advance screening will take place on June 19th.
And the ticket will cost you $50.
Now, before your head explodes, just know that you get more than just a two day jump on everyone else when it comes to WWZ. The studio is also offering a small popcorn, one HD digital copy of the movie when it becomes available, one pair of WORLD WAR Z collector’s custom RealD 3D glasses, and one official full-size limited-edition movie poster.

I suppose this is something of an experiment on Paramount's part, and honestly, I don't think it's completely crazy. However, I do wonder why they'd try it out with WORLD WAR Z, which as a movie is still a dicey prospect. If they had done this with a more fanboy-friendly film, like IRON MAN 3, they'd be cleaning up. I guess we'll have to wait and see if this gamble pays off.
