Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island trailer introduces a new Midnight Society

Fans may have thought the kid-friendly horror anthology Are You Afraid of the Dark? was over for good when its initial five season run ended in 1996… but after more than twenty years, Nickelodeon brought the series back in 2019 with a revival season that was subtitled Carnival of Doom. A season called Curse of the Shadows followed. Now a season called Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island is scheduled to premiere with a two hour episode on July 30th, and a teaser trailer has arrived online to offer an idea of what viewers will find on Ghost Island. Check it out in the embed above!

The other episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island will air on the August 6th and August 13th.

This Ghost Island season of Are You Afraid of the Dark? follows

an all-new Midnight Society as they go on what they thought would be a fun summer vacation on a resort island, until they learn about something sinister haunting the guests.

The character list includes Kayla (played by Telci Huynh of Modern Love); Max (played by Conor Sherry of The Terminal List); Leo (played by Luca Padovan of You); Summer (played by Dior Goodjohn of Head of the Class); and Ferris (played by Chance Hurstfield of Good Boys). Julian Curtis (Wish Man) plays Stanley Crane, the hotel manager at the island resort.

Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island is coming to us from ACE Entertainment.

I know the original run of Are You Afraid of the Dark? remains quite popular with viewers who used to watch it back in the ’90s. I’m curious to hear from our readers: have any fans of the first Are You Afraid of the Dark? checked out episodes of the revival series, and if so, what did you think?
