The FALLOUT game series is one of my personal favorites. My fellow editor, Paul and I were just talking about our love for it the other night. Funny how this news comes out the following day.
Over the years there’s been talk of developing the game series into a film or television series, but the idea gets kicked around and nothing ever comes of it. Now it seems that FALLOUT publisher Bethesda Softworks has registered a trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for “an on-going television program set in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world.” There’s really no other explanation for this other than the fact that they are developing a series from the game.
Interestingly enough, this news tails some mysterious tweets made by Erik Todd Dellums also known as the voice of DJ Three Dog in Fallout 3, which presumably were made about the upcoming FALLOUT 4:
To all my #Fallout3 and #ThreeDog fans: There may be more of the Dog coming! Fingers crossed!

@etdellums any details that ya can share or is it a tight lip deal ATM?

@toasttherabbit How was that for a tease! I was given permission to release that tease, so fingers crossed.

Some fans think Dellums was also referring to the television series, but after reading other tweets, I don’t think he’s privy to that information. Who cares? I’m happy that we are even getting to talk about it!
