"Will it actually be called BATMAN VS SUPERMAN?" It's a question many of us asked when the MAN OF STEEL sequel was first announced, but since then, most people have used that title when talking about Zack Snyder's upcoming film. However, the people over at Superhero Movie News recently noticed Warner Bros. has secretly registered several domain names that sound like they are for the new movie, and they think one of them could end up being the official title. What are they? Take a look:
“Man of Steel Battle the Knight”, “Man of Steel Beyond Darkness”, “Man of Steel Black of Knight”, “Man of Steel Darkness Falls”, “Man of Steel Knight Falls”, “Man of Steel Shadow of the Night”, “Man of Steel The Blackest Hour”, and “Man of Steel The Darkness Within”
BATMAN VS SUPERMAN could still wind up being the official title, but since these names were registered this week, it might mean Zack Snyder and company are at least looking at different options for the title. BATMAN VS SUPERMAN is a little bland, but these other possible titles aren't great either in my opinion. They're not very original, and using the word "darkness" just seems kind of lazy since Star Trek just did something similar with their last movie. At least, "rise" isn't being used in any of these, right? Until we hear something from Warner Bros. though, it's still going to be BATMAN VS SUPERMAN for us.
Zack Snyder's sequel to MAN OF STEEL starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill will be released on July 17th, 2015.
