Archer renewed for season 13 on FXX

If you’re hungry for more of Sterling Archer’s (H. Jon Benjamin) outrageous spy-hijinks, then you’ll be pleased to know that Archer has been renewed for season 13.

Archer season 13 will return sometime in 2022 for eight episodes, and it’s been said that the passing of Jessica Walter, who voiced Malory Archer, will be creatively addressed in the new season. “Archer remains one of FX’s signature series and we are happy to extend its legacy with another globetrotting season,” said Nick Grad, president of original programming at FX. “Like Sterling Archer himself, Adam Reed, Matt Thompson, Casey Willis and the entire team at Floyd County Productions are endlessly creative and always find a way to surpass themselves. Our thanks to them and the incredible voice cast who keep this fan favorite spy comedy as fresh and exciting as ever.” Matt Thompson and Casey Willis added, “On behalf of our entire team of talented illustrators, animators, writers and actors, I just wanted to say… ahhh, damn. I had something for this. Nope. Lost it. So… I guess just thanks?“

The current season of Archer is currently airing and finds the gang facing off against a spy conglomerate known as IIA (International Intelligence Agency). With a limited number of spy jobs up for grabs, can The Agency compete against the soulless vultures of the IIA, or will our mom-and-pop spy agency be the next to get swallowed alive? As Jessica Walter had completed her work on the season before she passed, we still have a couple of more episodes to treasure her wonderful voice. In addition to H. Jon Benjamin and Jessica Walter, Archer also features Aisha Tyler as Lana Kane, Judy Greer as Cheryl Tunt, Chris Parnell as Cyril Figgis, Amber Nash as Pam Poovey, Adam Reed as Ray Gillette, and Lucky Yates as Algernop Krieger.
