Jason Momoa reunited with Ben Affleck on the set of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and shared a couple of photos on Instagram, which has prompted rumours that there will be a Batman cameo in the Aquaman sequel.
Jason Momoa wrote in the caption: “REUNITED bruce and arthur. love u and miss u Ben WB studio tours just explored the backlot alright. busted on set all great things coming AQUAMAN 2 all my aloha j.” Nothing has been officially announced, but Ben Affleck’s suit and hair certainly scream Bruce Wayne. It would seem that a studio tour saw Momoa and Affleck on set together. A video accompanying the Instagram post shows Jason Momoa running into a group of fans. “It’s not a f—ing secret anymore, is it?” Momoa said. “That’s what happens, Warner Brothers, when you walk out of your set and there’s our fans.” Momoa then poked his head into a trailer where Ben Affleck was in the middle of a phone call.
While Ben Affleck’s involvement in the Aquaman sequel remains unconfirmed (although it certainly seems likely), he will be appearing in The Flash alongside Ezra Miller. “He’s a very substantial part of the emotional impact of the movie,” The Flash director Andy Muschietti said. “The interaction and relationship between Barry and Affleck’s Wayne will bring an emotional level that we haven’t seen before. It’s Barry’s movie, it’s Barry’s story, but their characters are more related than we think. They both lost their mothers to murder, and that’s one of the emotional vessels of the movie. That’s where the Affleck Batman kicks in.”
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom stars Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, and Amber Heard as Mera. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will premiere on March 17, 2023. Do you think the Aquaman sequel will include a Batman cameo?
