Apple has unveiled a trailer for SERVANT, a chilling new series from Academy Award-nominated executive producer M. Night Shyamalan (GLASS, UNBREAKABLE, SPLIT). Set for a November 28 premiere exclusively on Apple TV+, the half hour psychological thriller follows a Philadelphia couple in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home.
The new trailer introduces us to Dorothy Turner (Lauren Ambrose) and Sean Turner (Toby Kebbell) as the grieving couple living in a sterile townhouse now devoid of child-like laughter and midnight feedings. To soothe their deepest of sorrows, they hire Nell Tiger Free's Leanne Grayson as a nanny for their newly acquired baby. Before long, it's revealed that Dorothy and Sean have replaced their 13-week-old baby with a lifelike doll that resembles their dearly departed infant son. As Leanne grows increasingly attached to the little one, it becomes clear that something sinister has entered their home.
As the trailer plays on, we're soon treated to a montage of scenes from later episodes. With every quick-cut that slices into the footage, it becomes clear that the Turners have awakened something dark and disturbing in Leanne, or perhaps it was there all along, writhing just beneath the surface.
Directing the series for Apple are M. Night Shyamalan alongside BAFTA-nominated creator, executive producer and writer Tony Basgallop (INSIDE MAN). Meanwhile, in addition to Ambrose, Kebbell, and Free, HARRY POTTER alum Rupert Grint also stars.
M. Night Shyamalan's SERVANT will arrive exclusively on Apple TV+ on November 28th.
