CinemaBlend reports that Adam Sandler was on THE ELLEN DeGENERES SHOW recently, and he revealed that his daughters – Sadie and Sunny – aren't big fans of their father's work. Here's what Sandler had to say, in his own words:
I’ll put them on. Because they beg to see them. They’re like, “Please, it’s not fair! Let me watch your movies. Those people always yell things at you on the street. I don’t know what the heck they’re talking about.” So I show them the movies—they demand this—and they get, every time, I’d say about 20 minutes in, and then I see them tuning out, and then I hear them. They’re nervous to say it, but like, “Can we watch something else?”
As someone who never really liked Adam Sandler, this doesn't come as a surprise to me. I've liked a few when I was younger (HAPPY GILMORE, WEDDING SINGER, LITTLE NICKY), but honestly hate most of the rest (especially BILLY MADISON. I can see some of his other films I don't like being defended, but that one is hot garbage in my opinion). So, anyway, it's good to hear that at least his kids have good taste.
But what about you Schmoes? Any Sandler fans out there? And if so, how would you guys rank his oeuvre? Sound off below!
Meanwhile, Sandler's latest film HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3 will be released in theaters sometime next year.
