Anthony Mackie and Frank Grillo bring the pain in Point Blank trailer

Hell hath no fury like a man whose pregnant wife has been taken hostage. I mean, who even does such a thing without expecting some major repercussions for such an egregious action? Especially if a badass like Anthony Mackie is on the receiving end of the crime? Fools. All of 'em.

Today, Netflix has dropped an action-packed trailer for POINT BLANK, an upcoming rough-n-tumble thriller starring Marvel alums Anthony Mackie (AVENGERS: ENDGAME, ALTERED CARBON) and Frank Grillo (CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, THE GREY), with Marcia Gay Harden (MYSTIC RIVER, INTO THE WILD).

Here's the official plot synopsis for POINT BLANK:

When his pregnant wife is kidnapped and held as collateral, Paul, an ER nurse, must team with the badly injured career criminal and murder suspect under his charge in order to save the lives of his wife and unborn child. Pitted against rival gangs and a deadly ring of corrupt cops, the unlikely duo find a way to survive together in the fight of their lives. A gritty, action-packed thriller starring Anthony Mackie and Frank Grillo.

Yo, I am so down for this movie. For starters, I had no idea that Grillo could deliver such a comedic tough guy act. Furthermore, it's about damn time that we see Mackie gettin' down with his bad self outside of the MCU. While the duo certainly have an Odd Couple vibe about them at the start of their mission, I've no doubt that Mackie and Grillo will discover their groove as they seek the villains who'd done them wrong. For real, I expect there to be a lot of broken bones, bullet wounds, and creative combat with Emergency Room tools. Put up your dukes and bring it on!

In addition to the trailer, Netflix also debuted a poster for the upcoming action flick directed by EVERLY helmer and CHILLERAMA contributor Joe Lynch.

POINT BLANK will be coming to Netflix on July 12.
