Brad Anderson’s surprise hit THE CALL, which stars the always alluring Halle Berry, earned almost $46 million at the box office domestically (and is just beginning to open overseas in Europe and Asia, earning $1.6 million so far in Russia). Not too shabby considering its $13 million budget. Audiences seemed to have dug it and our own The Arrow said it was worth a watch, and if you missed it in theaters you’ll get your chance to peep it when THE CALL hits DVD and Blu-Ray this summer.
Sony Home Video has announced the release date for THE CALL, scheduling it to hit the shelves on June 25. No special features have been announced at this time but it’s a safe bet the discs will, at the very least, include some of the cool BTS featurettes we’ve already seen pop up online, not to mention a nice commentary track from director Brad Anderson himself.
When veteran 911 operator, Jordan, takes a life-altering call from a teenage girl who has just been abducted, she realizes that she must confront a killer from her past in order to save the girl’s life.
THE CALL also stars Abigail Breslin, Morris Chestnut and Michael Eklund.
We’ll be sure to let you know what kind of extras will be included on THE CALL’s DVD and Blu-Ray releases when we hear it. You can pre-order the film now on DVD by clicking HERE, or grab it on Blu-Ray right HERE.
