On top of “actress” and “Catwoman”, the lovely and talented Anne Hathaway (THE DARK KNIGHT RISES) will now be able to add “producer” to her ever-growing CV.
According to THR, Hathaway will both produce and star in a new film from Paramount called PUZZLER. The project – from “Dead Like Me” writer Karl Gajdusek (who also penned this year’s awful Joel Schumacher/Nic Cage/Nic Kidman film TRESPASS) – is being described as “a female-driven, paranoid thriller” in the vein of Sydney Pollack’s excellent 1975 film THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR. Joining Hathaway on the producer front are Adam Schulman, Sarah Perlman, and Stefan Sonnenfeld; the latter two of whom are also behind the upcoming video game adaptation DEAD ISLAND. No director is currently attached.
Meanwhile, Hathaway continues to plug away in tight leather and catgoggleears on the set of Chris Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. And afterwards, she’ll be diving into LES MISÉRABLES for director Tom Hooper (THE KING’S SPEECH) opposite Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, and Helena Bonham Carter.
