Yesterday morning we shared the news that Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga have signed on to appear in writer/director Gary Dauberman's ANNABELLE 3, reprising their THE CONJURING and THE CONJURING 2 roles of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. That makes sense, since the events of ANNABELLE 3 take place within the Warren house. The story begins
with the Warrens bringing the Annabelle doll to a place where she can no longer wreak havoc: their Artifacts Room. Annabelle awakens the room’s evil which sets its sights on a new target: the Warrens’ ten year old daughter Judy. The young girl, along with her teenage babysitter cousin and the cousin’s friend, square off against the evil doll.
As that synopsis makes clear, Ed and Lorraine are supporting characters in this film. The ones who will really have to deal with the evil doll shenanigans are their daughter and the two teenagers tasked with taking care of her while Ed and Lorraine are away.
Mckenna Grace will be playing daughter Judy, Madison Iseman is her babysitter cousin, and we've been waiting to hear who would be playing the cousin's friend… Now it has been announced that the remaining lead role has gone to Katie Sarife, whose previous credits include Supernatural, Girl Meets World, Youth & Consequences, CLEVELAND ABDUCTION, and ZOMBIES AND CHEERLEADERS.
So now we know who the stars of ANNABELLE 3 are, and just in time. Filming begins this week, with the movie heading toward a July 3, 2019 release date.
