We’ve got celebrity cameos already? USA Today has reported tha Anna Paquin (TRUE BLOOD) and Veronica Mars, uh…I mean Kristen Bell (PULSE) will be presenting themselves in the next SCREAM film as celebrity cameos. How about that?
Now I’m a sucker for cameos but how are they going to fit these two gals into the script? Opening kill perhaps? We’ll just have to wait and see. You think after seeing Paquin’s “gifts” in TRUE BLOOD, Craven might be inclined to show some skin eh? Doubt it but here’s hoping that the MPAA won’t just slap it with a pansy ass PG-13. The original three films were all rated R and sources have reported that they were trying to stick with that.
SCREAM 4, or SCRE4M, will star Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette as they reprise their roles. Other stars will include Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Nico Tortorella, Anthony Anderson and Marielle Jaffe. Wes Craven sure has his hands full on this and he’s not letting any info loose until it’s baked and ready. Which means we won’t be getting any details soon other than casting info.
Scream 4 is set to open in theaters April 15, 2011. It’s a long wait but at least you’ve got names and a poster to entice yourself with. Hey, how about the synopsis to soothe your nerves: The horror series that reignited the genre and grossed more than $500 million worldwide is back! From Kevin Williamson, creator of the original Screamtrilogy, the new film sees the return of cast members Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette along with a group of new stars, who can all hopefully stay alive long enough to figure out the new rules to this one-of-a-kind horror franchise!
I couldn’t help it. Kristen Bell.
