Animated short One Night In Hell to become a feature from Star Wars producer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Screen Daily is reporting that ONE NIGHT IN HELL – a 7-minute animated film from directors Jason Jameson and James Hall – is being turned into a feature film by Unanico Group and Duck Productions. EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and THE DARK CRYTAL producer Gary Kurtz in on board as well.

Premiering in the UK last October, ONE NIGHT IN HELL is currently playing at Halloween Horror Nights here in L.A. The story features:

A skeleton's maddening descent through stereoscopic hell.

Sound simple but pretty damn badass. Word is the movie will be a hybrid of live-action and animation, set for release sometime in 2019. As per the short, Queen guitarist Brian May will contribute to the feature's rock-centric soundtrack. Should be a pretty interesting mash-up if nothing else. Jason Jameson will direct from a script he co-wrote with Paul Laikin.

Keep it close for production notes as the movie gets going.
