Andy Muschietti wants to make a 6 hour It supercut

When their running times are combined, director Andy Muschietti's Stephen King adaptations IT (2017) and IT: CHAPTER TWO already add up to an epic 5 hour running time, but if Muschietti has his way there could still be another hour and a half of IT coming our way.

Speaking with Ash Crossan of Entertainment Tonight, Muschietti said he is in talks with New Line Cinema to make an IT "supercut",

which is basically the two movies edited together with all the material that is not in the released versions. And yeah, there are a couple of scenes that I want to shoot to make this a new experience."

Muschietti estimated that the running time for this supercut would be in the range of "6 and a half hours". All of the deleted scenes from the two films would be added back in, along with the two scenes he still wants to film. When asked about the scenes that haven't been filmed yet, all he would say is:

One thing is from the novel and the other thing is not. I want to be a little cryptic about it."

With IT having made over $700 million at the global box office and IT: CHAPTER TWO passing the $200 million mark in less than a week, I don't think the studio will have a problem with Muschietti shooting a couple extra scenes so he can put together his supercut.
