Writer/director Adam Green’s film HATCHET has been getting high acclaim and is praised as being the return to true American horror. So it is no surprise that Green’s following project, SPIRAL, would be snatched up to be distributed to audiences before HATCHET can even reach store shelves.

Anchor Bay Entertainment, the industry leader in contemporary and classic horror programming, announces the acquisition of the theatrical and home media distribution rights to Spiral, the highly anticipated follow-up feature from the writer/director and star of the independent cult horror film Hatchet. The announcement was made by Mark Ward, Vice President
Acquisitions of Anchor Bay Entertainment, as part of the film¹s presentation at the 2007 Hollywood Film Festival. The film will play in exclusive theatrical engagements in early 2008.

The film, co-directed by Adam Green and HATCHET star, Joel Moore , is about a reclusive artist who finds new life in the eyes of his
latest subject Amber (Amber Tamblyn of The
Grudge 2). Wrestling with inner demons waiting to
surface, he grapples with a past that not only haunts him, but may come to
haunt her as well.

The film has been getting rave reviews and is being described as a “Hitchcock-tail of precision directing”. You got me right there. SPIRAL was directed by Adam Green and Joel Moore and was written by Joel Moore and Jeremy Danial Boreing. Look for SPIRAL to be coming at ya in 2008!
