Writer/director Nicholas David Holland’s home invasion thriller An Intrusion is set to have its World Premiere as the opening night film of the Chelsea Film Festival in New York City on October 14th, 2021, a live in-person event that will coincide with a digital premiere. Before the first audience gets the chance to see the film, we have an EXCLUSIVE featurette to share that goes behind-the-scenes of the film’s production with star Scout Taylor-Compton. Check it out in the embed above!
Produced by Emmy nominee Sam Logan Khaleghi with Diamond Dead Media, SLK Media Group and and co-produced by Alexander Norris (of Laugh Cry Productions), An Intrusion follows
a man whose home and family is terrorized by a malicious stalker. Law enforcement investigations reveal that the suspect may be related to secrets the patriarch of the family has violently kept hidden from his past.
Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie’s Halloween) is joined in the cast by Keir Gilchrist (It Follows), Billy Boyd (the Lord of the Rings trilogy), Sam Logan Khaleghi (Approaching Midnight), Jaime Zevallos (Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger), Michael Emery (Showtime’s Shameless), and newcomers Dustin Prince, Angelina Danielle Cama, Erika Hoveland, and Madison Merlanti.
In anticipation of the premiere, Khaleghi released the following statement:
It has been a wonderful collaborative creative effort alongside such amazing artists both on camera and behind it. I’ve been a huge fan of my fellow on-screen talent, their previous work and I am elated we get to share this exhibition of our film together in beautiful New York City.”
Those of us who aren’t able to attend the premiere won’t have to wait much longer to see the movie. Gravitas Ventures has picked up the US and Canadian distribution rights and plan to release An Intrusion on Thanksgiving weekend, November 26th. The film will have a day-and-date theatrical run alongside a VOD/DVD/BluRay release.
