PRISONERS director Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi thriller ARRIVAL is set to reach theatres on November 11th, and today we have an intriguing teaser trailer that introduces us to characters played by Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner as they're taken to a strange alien craft to meet our extraterrestrial visitors. This teaser doesn't offer much information at all, but it has me hooked and wanting to see more.
At one time known as STORY OF YOUR LIFE, ARRIVAL was scripted by Eric Heisserer (LIGHTS OUT) and is based on a short story by Ted Chiang. It takes place
after alien crafts land around the world. An expert linguist is recruited by the military to determine whether they come in peace or are a threat. As she learns to communicate with the aliens, she begins experiencing vivid flashbacks that become the key to unlocking the greater mystery about the true purpose of their visit.
Adams and Renner are joined in the cast by Forest Whitaker and Michael Stuhlbarg.
