The first trailer for Amsterdam has been released and it has director David O. Russell returning to the big screen with one hell of a star-studded effort.
Per 20th Century Studios the film is “A fascinating and richly intricate tale that brilliantly weaves historical fact with fiction for a timely, cinematic experience, 20th Century Studios’ and New Regency’s original crime epic about three close friends who find themselves at the center of one of the most shocking secret plots in American history.” The film stars basically everyone in Hollywood including Margot Robbie, a one-eyed Christian Bale, John David Washington, Alessandro Nivola, Andrea Riseborough, Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Rock, Matthias Schoenaerts, Michael Shannon, Mike Myers, Taylor Swift, Zoe Saldaña, Rami Malek, Robert De Niro.
O. Russell also serves as a writer and producer on the project while Yariv Milchan, Michael Schaefer, and Sam Hanson are on board as executive producers. Hard not to be excited about a new film from David O. Russell. He hasn’t disappointed me yet and I’m intrigued by this cast list alone.
