Writer/director Rob Worsey’s Among the Living sounds like a movie that will have genre fans arguing over whether the threatening beings are “zombies” or just “infected people” – and we’re going to have the chance to have that argument very soon, because Among the Living is set to receive a limited theatrical release on September 30th! A VOD release will follow on October 4th, and then the Blu-ray release on November 8th. With all of those dates very near, we’re proud to share the EXCLUSIVE first look at the Among the Living trailer, which you can watch in the embed above, and the film’s poster, which you can check out at the bottom of this article.
Among the Living has the following synopsis:
Stranded in the countryside in the aftermath of a deadly outbreak, older brother Harry fights to protect his younger sister, Lily, while he desperately searches to find refuge with their father. Harry and Lily are determined to survive their journey as they strive to avoid an infected population with a thirst for blood as well as the greater threat of other survivors.
The film stars Dean Michael Gregory, George Newton, and Melissa Worsey.
Rob Worsey produced Among the Living with Kate Humphries and Oliver Mitchell. The film is coming to us from Dread. Worsey has made several short films over the years, but Among the Living marks his feature writing, directing, and producing debut. He did previously work as cinematographer on the feature Il Constantia.
What did you think of the Among the Living trailer? Does this look like a movie you’ll be watching this Halloween season? It looks interesting to me, so I will probably be checking it out next month. And I’m definitely calling these things zombies. Share your thoughts on this one by leaving a comment below.
