Filming is underway on American Horror Story season 11, which is expected to premiere on FX sometime this fall – and while there haven’t been any official announcements regarding the cast of this new season, Deadline reports that the cast will include Billie Lourd, Zachary Quinto, Isaac Powell, and Patti LuPone, all of whom have appeared on at least one previous season of the show. Joining them are Sandra Bernhard, Joe Mantello, and Charlie Carver. Bernhard previously worked with American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy on Pose, Carver worked with him on Ratched, and Mantello worked with Murphy on Hollywood, The Normal Heart, and The Boys in the Band.
Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, American Horror Story is an anthology series where
each season is conceived as a self-contained miniseries, following a different set of characters and settings in the same fictional universe, and a storyline with its own “beginning, middle, and end.”
The story and setting for season 11 haven’t been revealed. FX and the show’s production company declined to comment on Deadline’s cast report, but Powell, Lourd, Carver, and Bernhard have already been spotted filming scenes for American Horror Story season 11 on the streets of Manhattan’s West Village. Deadline notes that “based on the costumes and exteriors, it appears to be set in the 1970s-80s”… basically the same place and time as another FX / Murphy project that’s in development, Studio 54: American Crime Story.

While I intend to give American Horror Story a serious chance at some point, so far I have only watched the first one or two episodes of the first season and the first two episodes of the spin-off American Horror Stories. So I’m way behind on all of this American Horror stuff.
