News about season ten of American Horror Story has been pretty quiet since it was announced some time ago that the season would be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic but Ryan Murphy teased fans on Tuesday night with some brand new key art from the upcoming season that could hint that some news may be incoming about the latest season.
Ryan Murphy took to his Instagram page to reveal a creepy shot of a mouth agape and full of razor-sharp teeth, with a tattoo pen seeming to have etched “AHS10” onto the tongue. The art is reminiscent of past images of the show in its style and since Murphy is the king of teasing his projects, this is all he left us with. No caption and no hint about what this image could mean for the tenth season. You can check out Ryan Murphy's Instagram post below:
Season ten of American Horror Story was to begin filming in October with a 2021 premiere date in sight due to the COVID-19 delay. The anthology series typically premieres around late September so this is a much later start, which is understanding considering the circumstances. Back in May, Murphy hinted at a possible location for the upcoming season by sharing an image of a serene beach or lakefront with the caption “American Horror Story. Clue." It's unclear if this location hint has changed since May due to the COVID-19 delay but that image, along with this new one, should lead to some fan speculation on social media.
Set to appear in the latest American Horror Story season are Macaulay Culkin as well as Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross, and Finn Wittrock. Murphy teased the cast for the upcoming season in a zoom video that he also posted to his Instagram page back in February.
