"American Horror Story" producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck are sticking with the anthology horror game for "Scream Queens," which is being described as "American Horror Story" meets "Glee," of course the duo's other popular show.
20th Century Fox Television and Murphy’s studio-based Murphy Television are producing the series, which received a 15-episode straight-to-series order. Like "AHS," each season will be unrelated to the last. No word on when it might go into production.
The first installment of Scream Queens revolves around a college campus which is rocked by a series of murders.
"Scream Queens" was created by Murphy, Falchuk and Ian Brennan, another "Glee" alum.
“We loved every element of the pitch for this show — the genre-bending concept, which blends true horror with big comedic moments; the diverse and unforgettable characters and reuniting the phenomenal creative team that delivered Glee,” Fox TV Group chairmen Dana Walden and Gary Newman said.
