As always, the person who designs the American Horror Story promotional material should be the one designing the show. However, this time around, they're taking on the Lady Gaga aesthetic as well, throwing an overly bedazzled glove into the mix. They seem to be hitting her presence pretty hard, because I can’t recall any of these promos ever mentioning an actor’s name before. Usually, they're totally standalone, having nothing to do with the season itself other than pure aesthetic.
American Horror Story must really be reeling from the loss of Jessica Lange if they feel the need to stir up interest in other ways like this. It remains to be seen whether the other promos will showcase other performers, or if Gaga and her notorious weirdness will be the centerpiece of this season. Check out the new promo below!
American Horror Story: Hotel also stars Finn Wittrock, Matt Bomer, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson, Max Greenfield and Chloe Sevigny. It airs in October on FX.
