The American Horror Story spin-off American Horror Stories began its first season with a two-parter that returned to the “Murder House” setting of American Horror Story‘s first season. Now it has been revealed that the show is going back to the Murder House for its season finale, which is set to reach the “FX on Hulu” streaming service tomorrow, August 19th – and some cast members from the first season of American Horror Story are joining the returning cast members from the first two episodes.
Story and Stories co-creator Ryan Murphy took to Instagram to reveal the cast of the season finale, which is titled Game Over. Returning from the beginning of the season are Sierra McCormick as Scarlett, Kaia Gerber as Ruby, Paris Jackson as Maya, Selena Sloan as Erin, Ashley Martin Carter as Rowena, Valerie Loo as Nicole, and Merrin Dungey as Dr. Andi Grant. Joining them from season 1 of American Horror Story are Dylan McDermott as Dr. Ben Harmon and Jamie Brewer as Adelaide Langdon. Then we get the new additions of Adam Hagenbuch as Dylan, Mercedes Mason as Michelle, Nicholas Bechtel as Rory, Tom Lenk as Tim the Agent, and Noah Cyrus as Connie.
Cyrus went on Instagram herself to celebrate her association with the American Horror franchise, sharing how much the main show has meant to her over the years.
American Horror Stories was created by Story co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. Murphy and Falchuk serve as executive producers alongside Loni Peristere, Manny Coto, Alexis Martin Woodall, and John J. Gray. Tanase Popa is co-executive producer.
The idea behind this show was that it would consist of standalone episodes that would each tell a separate story, instead of the American Horror Story approach of telling one story over an entire season. It didn’t quite stick to that idea, since three of the season’s seven episodes are directly connected to each other, but maybe season 2 – which has already been ordered for 2022 – will have less connected episodes.
