The MTV Movie Awards reveal lots of cool new footage from The Dark Knight Rises, plus news on a marathon and the film’s run-time!

“Let the games begin!”

It’s go time for WB, as the studio is hellbent on releasing every single bit of promo for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES that it can between now and its July 20th release date.

So today we’ve got a lot of Batman goodies to give you, most notably a brand new video/trailer of sorts that was played during tonight’s MTV Movie Awards. The great-looking footage is mostly new material, all scored to a terrific piece of music that I really liked (and I hope is part of the film’s actual score). Be sure to check out below. There’s also a new TV Spot that’s been released which you can find further down on the page.

Meanwhile, AMC Theatres has announced two things of note: First, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is listed as having a run-time of 2 hours and 45 minutes. If you were one of those people that complained THE DARK KNIGHT was too long… well, you’re probably not gonna want to do this next thing: AMC will begin selling tickets on June 11th at 12:00pm EDT for a “DARK KNIGHT Marathon” which will take place on July 19th. If you’re a disciple of Batman and/or Christopher Nolan, you’re gonna want to get in on this pronto.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES opens everywhere July 20th.

Synopsis: When Commissioner Gordon (Gary Oldman) stumbles upon a plot to destroy the city from within, Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) gets back into action as the Batman. Waiting for him is the mysterious Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) and Bane (Tom Hardy), a lethal adversary on a crusade to tear apart Batman’s legacy piece by piece.
