Amazon Studios has finally released an extended trailer for their film, Being The Ricardos, which sees Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem transforming into Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz.
Written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, Being The Ricardos gives us a peek behind the scenes of Ball and Arnaz on their groundbreaking sitcom, I Love Lucy. The trailer depicts the duo’s many pivotal moments, including the House Un-American Activities Committee’s investigation into Ball’s early ties to the Communist party. The new-look also reveals J.K. Simmons as William Frawley and Nina Arianda as Vivian Vance. The film also stars Jake Lacy, Tony Hale, and Alia Shawkat.
Much has been made about this film and it’s mostly due to the casting of Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem as the famous couple. Judging from this look, it appears they nail their real-life personas so maybe they’ll prove the naysayers wrong.
