Heaven help us. It was just earlier today that we shared the news that Stephen King's poem THE BONE CHURCH is currently being developed into a TV series via BRIGHT and SUICIDE SQUAD director David Ayer. And now, less than an hour later, we have news regarding THE DARK TOWER TV series. Not that I'm complaining.
Anyhow, it has been a little bit since we touched base on the potential series. It was back in January when we let you know there was a rumor going around that the series might start shooting this summer. And today we might have reason to believe that rumor was true as Deadline is reporting that Amazon is developing THE DARK TOWER series now.
Deadline says, and I quote, "Amazon made a mega deal for a Lord Of the Rings TV series and is developing a slew of high-profile titles, including The Dark Tower…"
So there you have it. If good old Deadline is to be believed then, yes, Amazon is currently developing Stephen King's THE DARK TOWER into a TV series. Are you excited about a TV series based on King's book series? Let us know in the comments below or on social media!
THE DARK TOWER synopsis:
