Amanda Wyss explores the terror of The Id

In 1984, actress Amanda Wyss memorably became the first on-screen victim of horror icon Freddy Krueger in the original A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. More than thirty years later, she has teamed with Thommy Hutson and Daniel Farrands, the producers of the awesome ELM STREET documentary NEVER SLEEP AGAIN, to face an all new nightmare in THE ID.

In addition to producing the film, Hutson also made his directorial debut with THE ID, working from a screenplay by Sean H. Stewart. Wyss stars as a woman named Meridith Lane, who

is truly her father’s daughter. Doting, attentive, obedient. But after years spent confined together in a claustrophobic house, middle-aged Meridith’s relationship to her increasingly cruel and sadistic elderly father is veering toward disaster. When a figure from her past suddenly re-enters her life, Meridith is confronted with the harsh reality of her father’s monstrous nature. Deciding she must set herself free from his dominion, Meridith descends into a terrifying world of horrific visions, after one impulsive and irreversible act plunges her into a waking nightmare of her own making. And she is about to find out that, no matter what, the most important man in a girl’s life… is her father.

Patrick Peduto plays the father.

Sounds like this one could be quite twisted and disturbing. This Thursday night, February 18th, the first audience will be getting its chance to find out just how twisted and disturbing it is when THE ID makes its world premiere at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Fest.
