Warner Bros. Animation Group's upcoming animated Scooby-Doo film has finally filled out the ranks of the Scooby-squad as Deadline has reported that Zac Efron (EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL, AND VILE) and Amanda Seyfried (MAMMA MIA! HERE WE GO AGAIN) will be lending their voices to Fred Jones and Daphne Blake. Zoinks!

Earlier this month we learned that Gina Rodriguez (ANNIHILATION) would be voicing Velma Dinkley, with Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth) voicing Shaggy, Tracy Morgan (The Last O.G.) voicing Captain Caveman, and Frank Welker (ALADDIN) voicing Scooby-Doo himself. Not much is known about the plot of the film just yet, but it's been said that the film will find the Mystery Inc. gang joining forces with other heroes of the Hanna-Barbera universe in order to save the world from Dick Dastardly and his evil plans, and this time, the threat is real. According to Deadline, the film be going by the title of SCOOB, which sounds like the name of some fake drug craze which parents get all frazzled about. Watch out, your kids are snorting Scoob in the halls!

The new feature will mark the first time that the Scooby-squad has been on the big-screen since 2004's live-action SCOOBY-DOO 2: MONSTERS UNLEASHED, which starred Freddie Prinze Jr. as Fred, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne, Matthew Lillard as Shaggy, Linda Cardellini as Velma, and Neil Fanning as Scooby-Doo. The new Scooby-Doo film will be hitting theaters in May 2020.
