I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from Ash vs. Evil Dead, after all, it had been a quite a while since Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell had last played in that sandbox, but the first season wound up being a blood-filled and totally absurd good time. Now that we know exactly what to expect from the Starz series, the stage is set for the second season of Ash vs. Evil Dead to give us more of, well, everything; more blood, more demons, more chin, and more groovy. Starz has released a new red-band trailer for Ash vs. Evil Dead which was deemed "too gory" for San Diego Comic-Con audiences (sure, sure), and we have it here for your viewing pleasure.

"We gave peace a chance, now it's time for war."

The second season of Ash vs Evil Dead will pick up with "Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil." Joining the returning cast will be Lee Majors as Brock Williams, Ash’s father, Ted Raimi as Chet Kaminski, Ash’s childhood best friend, and Michelle Hurd as Linda, Ash’s high school love.

Ash vs Evil returns to Starz in October 2016.
