Back in October we learned that Epic Pictures Group had come aboard to finance and produce the anthology TALES OF HALLOWEEN, which will collect ten segments from eleven directors, all set in a sleepy American suburb terrorized by ghouls, aliens, and killers one Halloween night. Now Deadline is sharing that THE WOMAN and ALL CHEERLEADERS DIE director Lucky McKee has boarded the project, set to helm one of the segments.
McKee joins other horror mavens including Neil Marshall (THE DESCENT), Darren Lynn Bousman (SAW II-IV) Joe Begos (ALMOST HUMAN), Axelle Carolyn (SOULMATE), Adam Gierasch (NIGHT OF THE DEMONS), Andrew Kasch (NEVER SLEEP AGAIN: THE ELM STREET LEGACY) and John Skipp (STAY AT HOME DAD), Mike Mendez (BIG ASS SPIDER!), Dave Parker (THE HILLS RUN RED), Ryan Schifrin (ABOMINABLE), and Paul Solet (GRACE).
Carolyn conceived of the project and will produce with Mendez and Epic’s Patrick Ewald and Shaked Berenson. The project is currently filming in Los Angeles.
This is quite the line-up of talent behind the camera and the addition of McKee (whose MAY remains one of my favorite horror films ever) gets me even more excited for this film. We'll keep you posted on news regarding TALES OF HALLOWEEN as we hear it.
