Aliens invade in the new Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon teaser trailer

The first teaser for SHAUN THE SHEEP MOVIE: FARMAGEDDON is here, and it looks as if the sequel to Aardman and Studiocanal’s 2015 smash hit will find our wool-covered hero and his friends beaming up for parts unknown. In the upcoming stop-motion animated film, an alien with amazing powers crash-lands near Mossy Bottom Farm. While avoiding the ever-watchful gaze of of farmer Bitzer, Shaun prepares for 'close encounters of the herd kind' as a sinister organization attempts to capture and study Earth's new intergalactic visitor.

Helmed by dual directors, Will Becher (THE CURSE OF THE WERE-RABBIT, PARANORMAN) and Richard Phelan (EARLY MAN, DAMNED), the upcoming animation features a screenplay written by Jon Brown and Mike Burton (GNOMEO & JULIET, MADAGASCAR), based on characters created by Aardman's Nick Park. Now, because the world of SHUAN THE SHEEP features (mostly) non-speaking characters, the only cast members aboard this adorable-looking alien abduction animation are Justin Fletcher as the voice of Shaun and John Sparkes as the farmer, Bitzer.

Back in 2015, the original SHAUN THE SHEEP movie grossed a worldwide total of $106 million at the box office, making it Aardman's sixth highest earner behind THE PIRATE'S! BAND OF MISFITS, ARTHUR CHRISTMAS, FLUSHED AWAY, WALLACE AND GROMIT: THE CURSE OF THE WERE-RABBIT and CHICKEN RUN.

Personally, I adored SHAUN THE SHEEP MOVIE, and am delighted to see that SHAUN THE SHEEP MOVIE: FARMAGEDDON looks to continue to character's zany antics for another round of mischief, manipulation of man, and expressive animation.
