Earlier this year, we took a look back at the 1994 video game version of Alien vs. Predator with an episode of our video series Playing with Fear (check it out in the embed above). Now the collectible makers at NECA are also revisiting that version of Alien vs. Predator, and in a very cool way: they have created action figures based on a few of the xenomorphs seen in the game, and made the figures to look as if these xenomorphs had been featured in the Alien vs. Predator movie.
The set of three figures is available to pre-order from Entertainment Earth (for the price of $119.99) and Big Bad Toy Store ($129.99).
Here’s the product description:
The classic 1994 arcade game Aliens vs Predator predates the AVP movie, but what if….? NECA presents the mashup you’ve been dying to see!
The unique Alien adversaries seen in the video game get the movie treatment, with deco imagining their look had they been included in the subsequent movie. The figures use the super-poseable Ultimate body, with over 30 points of articulation and bendable tail. Each figure stands appproximately 9-inches tall and come in window box packaging.

Razor Claws Alien figure

I don’t remember these xenomorphs myself, but for fans of the ’94 game it’s very cool that NECA has given them the movie treatment like this. Written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, the movie Alien vs. Predator wasn’t released until ten years after the video game – and nope, it did not feature Razor Claws, Chrysalis, or Arachnoid. The sequel Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem didn’t either, but that movie was so dark you wouldn’t have been able to see them even if they were in it.
