You'd better get started putting up your booby traps, because Alicia Vikander is getting ready to revive Lara Croft in TOMB RAIDER, which now has an official release date!
The versatile actress, who will be appearing later this summer in JASON BOURNE, is teaming up with director Roar Uthaug (COLD PREY, THE WAVE) to bring us this latest adaptation of the popular video game franchise on March 16th, 2018.
A couple years ago, that date wouldn't have been so reassuring, but thanks to Marvel the summer movie season has been slowly expanding past May and even April. TOMB RAIDER will be getting the BATMAN V. SUPERMAN mid-March slot, and that's definitely not a terrible place to be, at least box office-wise.
TOMB RAIDER will:
tell the story of the young and untested Croft on her first adventure.
TOMB RAIDER will be arriving one week after Disney's announced WRECK-IT RALPH sequel.
