RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER doesn't promise to be anything other than a bugnuts action thriller, and that's exactly what I like about it. In this new clip, which expands on a shot seen briefly in the trailers, Milla Jovovich's consummate survivor Alice is trapped by commandos, but in true RESIDENT EVIL fashion, she quickly gets the upper hand. Check it out below!

The film's story picks up immediately after the events of RETRIBUTION and:

finds humanity is on its last legs. Alice must return to Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is preparing for a final strike against the survivors of the apocalypse.

In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.

Written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, THE FINAL CHAPTER stars Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Iain Glen, Shawn Roberts, Ruby Rose, Eoin Macken, William Levy, Fraser James, Rola, and Lee Joon-gi.

The flick infects theaters on January 17, 2017.
