If you were at London’s 100 Club on Sunday, you witnessed a cool thing: Alice Cooper was joined on guitar by none other than Johnny Depp to play a couple of tunes. As you may know, Depp originally went out to Los Angeles seeking a career as a musician before finding success as an actor.
As cool as that is, the real news comes from the Coop’s recap on his website: “Johnny is in London working on the new Tim Burton movie “Dark Shadows”, and Alice is rumored to have a cameo part in the film as well…”
It says rumor, of course, but I don’t see why his official website would post it if it weren’t true. Horror fans will remember that Depp and Cooper both made cameo appearances in FREDDY’S DEAD: THE FINAL NIGHTMARE.
DARK SHADOWS is directed by Tim Burton from a script by Seth Grahame-Smith, as based on the series created by Dan Curtis. Depp stars alongsde Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Jackie Earle Haley, Eva Green, Bella Heathcote, Lee Miller, Chloe Moretz and Gulliver McGrath. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 11, 2012 via Warner Bros.
