Ali Larter to return to the Resident Evil franchise

RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER has gained another familiar face as Ali Larter steps back up to the plate, set to reprise her role as Claire Redfield opposite Milla Jovovich in the Paul W. S. Anderson-penned and directed flick. In THE FINAL CHAPTER (and if Jason Voorhees has taught us anything, it's that only box office receipts will tell us if this entry in the blockbuster franchise will truly be the last one):

The story picks up after the events of Resident Evil: Retribution, as the Project Alice is forced to race against time before the villainous Red Queen attempts to destroy the final remnants of humanity.

The film will begin shooting this September in South Africa, with an eye on a 2016 release date. Ali Larter can be seen in another horror property, the haunted house flick THE DIABOLICAL this October.
