The cast might be mostly rounded out now, but BOND 23, which may or may not be called SKYFALL, is still adding a few more roles here and there.
The latest one to be filled is a part for Albert Finney, an acting veteran of 50 years who has been in everything from BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOUR DEAD to BIG FISH to ERIN BROCKOVICH to TRAFFIC to THE BOURNE ULTIMATIUM, and I could go on.
The news comes from Baz Bamigboye, who has been all over Bond casting scoops, and he has details about the part that Finney will be playing.
He’s “a Foreign Office mandarin with powers over the Secret Intelligence Service, described to me as a reasonably big role and full of class. The part probably makes him M’s boss, though she — as played by Judi — might not see it that way.”
The film also stars Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris. I really hope it isn’t called SKYFALL.
