In 2006, former United States Vice President Al Gore released AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, a documentary film which sought to educate citizens about global warming. The film became a critical and box-office success and has been credited for raising public awareness of climate change. Now, over a decade later, Al Gore is back with a timely follow-up in which he “continues his tireless fight traveling around the world training an army of climate champions and influencing international climate policy.” AN INCONVENIENT SEQUEL: TRUTH TO POWER will continue Gore’s battle against climate change and Paramount Pictures have released the first trailer for the upcoming documentary.
The film opened at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and our own Chris Bumbray was on-hand to check it out. Although he found the film to be effective, Bumbray also said that it likely won’t make as big an impact as the first did as it merely “preaches to the choir.” Check out Chris Bumbray’s full review right here.
